California recently released guidance for schools as they respond to the onslaught of AI programs and platforms that are changing education. Come learn from a colleague who served as a member of the California Department of Education's AI workgroup. We will outline the state's AI guidance and model policy, and consider how to apply these principles in our home district. Participants will leave with a better understanding of both overarching themes and actionable steps for how to navigate in this new landscape.
