This session explores how a Classroom Government and Economy can re-imagine teaching and learning by shifting classrooms from compliance to student ownership and accountability. Participants will examine how real-world civic and economic structures such as income, taxation, insurance, voting, and roles can be embedded into daily instruction to increase engagement, improve behavior, and strengthen academic responsibility. Through an interactive simulation, real classroom artifacts, and guided reflection, educators will experience the system as students and learn how to adapt it for their own classrooms. Attendees will leave with practical strategies to build student-driven, purposeful learning environments across grade levels and content areas.
