In this interactive session, participants will explore how instructional routines can serve as the “brushstrokes” that bring rigor, engagement, and student discourse to life. We will examine routines such as Three Reads, Stronger and Clearer Each Time, and Critique–Correct–Clarify, and experience how these structures support access, thinking, and social-emotional growth.
Through a studio-style format, participants will actively engage in routines, collaborate in design stations, and experiment with using AI tools (such as NotebookLM) to enhance clarity, feedback, and questioning within performance tasks. This session reimagines teaching and learning by shifting from content delivery to intentional design—blending structure and creativity to build classrooms that are inclusive, rigorous, and truly “in full color.” Participants will leave with practical strategies they can immediately implement in their own classrooms.
