This session will focus on helping teachers automate common classroom procedures using tools they already have access to through Google Workspace. Participants will learn how to combine Google Forms, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Autocrat, and an AI platform of their choice to streamline routine classroom tasks and reduce repetitive work. The session will briefly demonstrate how AI can assist teachers in generating content, organizing information, and creating resources such as daily agenda slides. However, the primary focus will be guiding teachers through the creation of a practical workflow they can immediately implement for the first week of school.During the session, participants will build a Syllabus Acknowledgement Form using Google Forms that automatically generates a personalized document or confirmation using Autocrat. Teachers will learn how responses from Google Forms can feed into Google Sheets and automatically merge into templates that can be emailed to students or families. By the end of the session, teachers will leave with a fully functioning form and automated system ready to use in their classroom, ensuring students and families can acknowledge course expectations while teachers save time managing documentation. To actively engage participants, the session will follow a demonstration-plus-creation model. Short demonstrations will introduce each concept, followed by guided work time where teachers build their own resources with support and collaboration. Participants will be encouraged to choose their own AI platform and experiment with prompts that help generate form questions, class prompts, or other classroom materials. Teachers will work individually or with colleagues while receiving real-time feedback and troubleshooting support. This hands-on structure ensures participants are not only learning about automation but actively implementing it during the session. This session reimagines teaching and learning by shifting technology from being simply a presentation tool to becoming a workflow tool that supports teacher efficiency and student communication. By leveraging automation and AI-assisted planning, teachers can reduce time spent on repetitive administrative tasks and instead focus more energy on instruction, feedback, and building relationships with students. Participants will leave with both a ready-to-use system and the knowledge needed to expand these workflows into other areas such as daily agenda slides, classroom surveys, parent communication, and classroom documentation. Through this approach, educators can rethink how technology supports teaching—moving from manual processes toward systems that work in the background to support learning.
